Sustainable Waste Solutions Since 1993

In today’s world, there is an ever-present push for sustainability measures. In recent years, laws have been passed, and consumers have threatened to boycott until their favorite corporations become more sustainable. Because of this, our industry-leading waste management processes have expanded our environmental influence throughout the country and even to one international location.

Since opening in 1993, LJP has prioritized sustainability, viewing environmental goals as one of the most important aspects of any business. We strive to make the world a better place by providing a solution for companies worldwide to seamlessly implement zero-landfill solutions into existing operations.

Sustainable Waste Management Strategies for All Industries

LJP is constantly evolving and looking for ways to improve our waste solutions processes since 1993. We understand better than anyone how to create a sustainable world, and we only work with customers who strive to improve their environmental efforts.

Taking action to create a more sustainable world makes a chain reaction of benefits, such as reducing solid waste and providing industries with cleaner fuel options. These benefits are something to be desired, and we believe all large manufacturing and distribution centers should have higher sustainability goals.

The more companies that participate in sustainability, the quicker we can reach our ultimate goal: zero landfill waste.

Our Mission: Cleaner Energy for Cleaner Living

LJP does more than manage waste. We create solutions that benefit businesses, communities, and the environment.

By turning waste into reusable resources and energy, we’re helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, preserve natural resources, and pave the way for a cleaner future.

Sustainable waste management should be accessible, efficient, and beneficial for all parties involved. That’s why we work hand-in-hand with businesses to implement waste strategies that don’t just meet regulatory requirements but actively contribute to a healthier planet.

Building More Sustainable Minnesota Homes & Businesses

With our sustainable waste management process, we collect waste from your home or business and then separate waste materials into three categories when they arrive at our facility: Combustible,  Recyclable, and Compostable.

As soon as the materials are sorted into their respective categories, they are then shipped from our facility to predetermined locations for their subsequent uses.

The recyclable materials are transported to select buyers who then reuse the materials for new products. The compostable materials are moved out for organic uses, and the combustible materials are transported to the Wilmarth Power Plant.

At the Wilmarth Power Plant, the shredded materials are converted to Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF), which is used as clean energy, allowing all parties involved to do their part in committing to more sustainable waste solutions.
